Hawthorn Residence

A refined expression of classical architecture, grounded in material authenticity.
Designed by Christopher Doyle Architects and built by Royale Constructions, the Hawthorn Residence draws on the enduring principles of Palladian architecture through balanced symmetry, strong proportions and carefully resolved classical detailing.
Bruhn supplied premium Mount Gambier limestone for the home’s facade, portico, balustrades and architectural mouldings. Crafted by Sutherland Stone Construction, the residence features hand-routed rustication that creates deep horizontal shadow lines across the exterior, reinforcing the home’s sense of scale and permanence.

Solid limestone columns, carved capitals, plinths and a commanding pediment establish a disciplined architectural presence, while the natural texture and tonal warmth of the South Australian limestone softens the formality of the design.
